On April 26th, Wyebrook Farm & the Songwriters Conspiracy is honored to present the great Jesse McReynolds at Wyebrook farm. Jesse McReynolds is celebrating his 50th anniversary on the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. He, as well as his brother Jim, are members of the Country Hall of Fame. He is also widely know for pioneering a technique called flat picking on the mandolin. the Travis Wetzel trio (from Norristown, PA. Known as the mad fiddler, he currently resides in Nashville and plays and records with the best musicians there. He was also recently called the greatest to ever set foot on the stage at the Grand Ole Opry).
Jesse McReynolds Celebrating 65 years in music, Jesse has earned the title the “Ironman of Bluegrass!” Dave Kline and Mountain Folk (Dave is a lifetime musician as well as local celebrity hosting radio shows, writing for bluegrass magazines, as well as being a writer for the Reading Eagle. This band is his most recent incarnation). Frog Holler Bluegrass Band (a local band from the Reading area playing for over 15 years, and is morphing into a bluegrass band for this occasion). The Mountain Folk Band Based in Pennsylvania and performing since 1989 as a five-piece bluegrass band, a duo, or any other configuration, the band’s repertoire includes original material, sing-a-long material, traditional material and music from Appalachian to Alpine music styles.
