Scott:

Co-owner

Ryan:

Farm Manager

Ryan grew up showing Simmental cattle in Halifax, Pennsylvania. After getting a degree in Animal Sciences from Penn State, he joined the farming team at Wyebrook in its first iteration. He took a few years off from farming to work in HVAC, but we are lucky that he decided to come back to Wyebrook to be our Farm Manager. Ryan is excited about this chapter of Wyebrook and looking forward to new beginnings.

Alexi: Butcher

Alexi returns to Wyebrook after several years of owning and running his own local online butcher shop. He started butchering at Wyebrook during its first iteration when he was just 19. Since then he has accumulated over 10 years of experience that he brings back to the farm and utilizes to help create all the cuts, grinds, and sausages available in our store.

Jeff:

Co-owner

Jeff has a PhD in Sociology from the University of Virginia, and has taught at a local university for the last decade. As a professor, he reads and teaches various agrarian writers, and studies social ecologies, food systems, and government policies. Now that farming is more than an academic discussion, he has a lot to learn.

John: Head Butcher

John comes to Wyebrook after nearly a decade in produce farming in New England. From a love of cooking to managing permaculture farms, running restaurants and operating a catering company, his life has always revolved around food in some way. We’re proud to have John take over the reins in the shop as he deepens his own understanding of whole-animal butchery and raising animals the right way.

Lauren: operations manager

Lauren is thrilled to return to Wyebrook, having been part of the original team along with Ryan and Alexi. She holds degrees in Sustainable Development and in Community & Regional Planning. For nearly 20 years she’s been dedicated to learning about agriculture and food systems, smart land use, and local government. Lauren is excited to help bring Wyebrook’s pastured beef and pork to the community - again!
