OUR MISSION IS SIMPLE:

to serve our Community with clean, nourishing meat. RAISED RIGHT.
that’s Wyebrook.

Our Story

We’re your neighbors. We’re dads. We’re brothers-in-law. One of us is a farmer. One of us has thought a lot about farming. We want to feed our families the best meat possible. We want to help the environment and our local economy. We want to build on the excellent foundation created by Wyebrook in its first iteration. We are the new Wyebrook.

We, Scott and Jeff, are honored to take over the legacy left by Wyebrook’s former owner and we are excited to build our own farm and traditions on this land.

The idea for Wyebrook came when we sold our in-law’s cattle farm in Central PA. Scott has worked in various agriculture-related fields for more than 20 years including that farm, a tree nursery, and a produce CSA. He wanted to maintain the cattle operation closer to home in Chester County. After seeing the strain on the food supply chain during the COVID pandemic, we both agreed that a local, decentralized, sustainable meat farm was a good investment for our families, the surrounding community, the local economy, and the environment.

Scott then began conversations with the former owner of Wyebrook Farm who, after a decade of hard work building an excellent infrastructure for raising pastured livestock, had decided to sell. Scott and Jeff decided to make it a joint family venture and acquired the property in late 2020. We have been working to re-establish the pastures and woodlots with cattle and pigs since then.

Additionally, we are lucky that three key former employees have joined our team to help re-establish Wyebrook. Farm Manager Ryan has worked this land for 10+ years and brings his knowledge, experience, and outstanding animal care to the new team. Butcher Alexi spent his early professional years at Wyebrook learning the trade before starting his own online butcher shop. He returns to Wyebrook to help continue the mission of regenerative agriculture with on-farm butchering and processing. Lauren, our Operations Manager, first joined Wyebrook not long after its original inception. After working in land use planning and food insecurity, Lauren is thrilled to be reconnecting with customers and using her experiences in local food to make our mission a success.

Our team has been hard at work getting the farm ready for this new iteration and we cannot wait for you to see and taste the results.

While we are primarily focused on farming and raising the best meat possible, we are exploring ways to welcome the public back to Wyebrook. Stay tuned for more announcements in 2023 about on-farm events and happenings. In the meantime, you can purchase our meat at local farmers markets and through our online store.
